Asianet Doctoral Training Seminar

(Tea Break during the 2016 Asian Studies Days)

 

In connection with the Asian Studies Days, a doctoral training seminar will be organized on November 10th at the University of Helsinki.

The seminar is open to all PhD candidates in Finnish Universities who write their thesis about Asia (society, politics, economy, business, culture, history, law). PhD candidates are encouraged to participate either with a research plan or with a full research paper.

The topic of the paper does not need to relate to the theme of the Asian Studies Days: “China-US Relations and Asian Security”.

Notification of approval will be sent by August 25.

Full papers are due October 27.

The Network will provide free accommodation and a small travel grant for PhD candidates who present a research paper or research plan, who are registered in the Network’s members universities and who do not live in the Helsinki region. Member universities are: Aalto, Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Turku, Vaasa, Åbo Akademi.
