Content: Analysis of the changing meanings given to Asia in classical Mediterranean antiquity, Medieval Europe, Renaissance maritime explorations, Ming Dynasty China, Enlightenment Europe, Imperial Europe, anti-colonial Asia, post-colonial Asia and economic reneissance Asia. Target Group: The students of the Network member universities are eligible to apply. The course is recommended for advanced level (MA) students. Taken as: - Lectures Grading: on a scale of 1-5 Application for the course: The application time has already ended The course will be organized next time on the 4th priod during Spring Semester 2010.
