Goal: The course provides analytical tools to understand the evolving institutional environment, including changes in the legal framework and business practices, in contemporary China. The aim of the course is that students’ will understand the complexities of the globalizing Chinese business environment.
Target group: The course is targeted to MA-level students in Social Sciences. Student should have carried out previous studies in Asian business/economy or in Asian studies. In case the student is not familiar with either business studies or Asian studies, the following literature are highly recommended as background readings:

Time table: The course will be organized next time 18th January - 7th March 2010. This is a web-based course offered trough an e-learning platform Moodle.
The course consists of: Lectures (all available on e-learning platform, Moodle), course readings, assignment, and essay. More detailed information about the materials will be available on Moodle.
Grading: on a scale of 1-5. The assignment counts 30% and the essay for 70% of the final grade.
