Advanced Level Online Teaching on Asia


Japanese Economic Development from the Early Modern Period to the Present in Global Perspectives, 2 credits

Goal: The course aims at providing an understanding of Japan as a model and central economic actor in the Asian and global contexts, and at the same time show that Asian countries are not unique in their solutions to the various problems that economic, political and social changes pose to development.

Target Group: The students of the Network member universities are eligible to apply. The course is recommended for advanced level (MA) students.

Content: Lectures on Japanese economic history with comparisons to other Asian countries, Europe and the world.

Taken as: Online lectures. Lecture diary and/or exam.

Grading: on a scale of 1-5

Course Schedule: Course is organized 1.5. - 31.5.

Application for the course: A maximum of 40 students will be accepted to the course. Apply by 7 March through online application form LINK>>>

Before enrolling on the course the students should check with their own home department that this course can be accepted as part of their degree in their own university.
